Eagle's Honour is a collection of two stories about Roman legionaries published in 1995 by Red Fox, with illustrations by Victor Ambrus. Both stories and their illustrations had been published previously by Hamish Hamilton.
The book includes the dedication, "For all four houses of Hilsea Modern Girls' School, Portsmouth, (my school) who adopted me like a battleship or a regimental goat, but just a little bit extra for Sutcliff House".
